Ant City
So that homemade any trap? A SUCCESS! There were about 75 ants crawling from that trap, up and down the wall for a few hours. Eating the poison and bringing it back to their nest. The next morning, not one single ant.

Power
Mr. Ho was power washing the front porch and then I took over. I LOVED IT!!! Watching the dirt fly off was euphoric. I wish I could power wash everything.

Lazy
I do not feel like doing anything. So far , the entire week has been like this.
The house really needs to be cleaned. Majorly. But for once, I don't really give a shit. Maybe I'm hoping that if it gets bad enough, Mr. Ho will be shocked enough to call the cleaners. This is never going to happen.
On the separate, more happy note, I spoke to my dear friend Mrs. Smith today! She just had her 2nd bebe 6 weeks ago. I just wanted to hear her birth story (we had semi similar labor stories with our firsts) and how it was like adjusting to having 2 kiddos. As I expected, it's rough. But worth it.
I have baby fever, guys. Today, it's at 98 degrees. On fi-yah. I just looked at some of Olivia's baby pictures and got all misty eyed. She was such a chubster :).

Another Transformation
Reader azusa commented:
this reminds me of the olson twin transformation....
in regards to the Raven Symone post. I love the Olson twins. No surprise there. I loved them on Full House and now I love their Elizabeth and James line. Let's take a look at their transformation... [EDIT: the pictures are backwards in order. I don't know why and I don't feel like fixing it. So just FYI.]

They went from Uncle Jesse to Wal-mart and now to high fashion. Now they are this...

Effing billionaires...
So we had the house cleaned today. I always feel such a sense of WOOSAHHHHH afterwards. Olivia won't take her afternoon nap but she can nap right through the vacuuming and the high-pitched Spanish chatter? No comprende. No se.
I don't know if I'm sick or if it's allergies. Woke up with a sore throat and now I am pretty stuffy with a runny nose. Olivia, too, has a runny nose and stuffiness (for about 3 days now). Let's pray we get better before Saturday.

Easter
Hello, friends. I am sitting here listening to Olivia perfect her scream over the monitor. She has been really resisting her naps. I think she might be ready to go to just one nap a day. I'm nervous to change it up though because we are so close to vacation time and I'd hate to change her routine now.
The weekend was really great! Mr. Ho had off on Good Friday. I sent him and Olivia over to the In-Laws because we got our carpets cleaned! I used OxiFresh. Joe was great. He was really thorough and the carpets dried very quickly. I was cleaning while he was cleaning. He actually LAUGHED at my Swiffer slippers. In the evening, we had dinner at Fortune with the In-Laws and the Mars. They are moving back to Alberta because Gary is running for premier! Isn't that super exciting?
Saturday, we went to the grocery store in the AM and sort of on on a whim (we had talked about it for awhile now), we decided to go the zoo! The Wiltshires couldn't join us but we did ask Mackenzie to come with since she will be leaving soon. They live literally next door to the zoo. Olivia actually LOVED seeing all the animals! She would point and babble. Her favorite were the elephants. After dropping off Mackenzie, we went to eat at Rays the Steaks. Yes, it was 4:30 PM and yes there were a lot of old people there. But it was great for us. We had a leisurely dinner and then made it home with enough time before Olivia goes down at night.
We did not go to church on Easter Sunday. This bugs me, but we don't have a church to go to right now. I want to find a church so Olivia can go to Sunday School. It's something I'm going to work on when we get back from our vacation. In the afternoon, we went to Remi's 1st birthday party at Clemyjontri Park. When I first read the park's name, I thought it was a misprint. But apparently the park got it's name from the children of the parents who invested in the park. This is a GREATTTT park!! The ground is rubber or something so if there is an accident, it's not as bad. There are tons of things for every age. Even a carousel! The only downfall is that everyone else thinks it's a great park too. So parking is limited and I can imagine it being quite the cluster**ck during peak times.
Here's a cute Olivia story. I am great at picking stuff up with my little toes. I did this in front of Olivia the other day and afterwards, she kept trying to stick things in her feet. Soo cutteeee.
Right now, I'm reading Summer and the City by Candace Bushnell on my IPhone. Did I mention I read stuff on my iPhone that i would be embarrassed to buy in person? Like Lauren Conrad's books. I am actually debating whether or not I want an eReader. I love having books on my bookshelf though... I'm really torn about this. Anyway, the book is good so far! It's about Carrier, fresh into her first days in NYC and meeting all her girlfriends. So far, she's met Samantha and Miranda.

Thursday Night
Mr. Ho is out celebrating a co-worker's birthday and I just polished off a half bottle of wine. I am so sleepy now and would love to just pass out face-down on the bed. But dammit. I just washed the sheets and have to make the bed first. #germophabeproblems

In Home
We never made it to Little Gym. Olivia woke up at 5 AM that day and then took a little snooze with me around 7 so it threw her schedule off completely. I don't think she is feeling her usual 100%. Her teeth are coming in and so I think it's causing a bit of pain. Poor bebe.
We are at home again today because it's my favorite day of the month! Cleaners are here!

All Done
One of my favorite feelings in the world - crossing off everything off of my to-do list and my honey-do list! We got a lot accomplished this weekend. Here's a rundown:
-Doing laundry and cleaning the house
-Calling invites for Olivia's dol (those who don't have email)
-Returning things at the mall and buying some things for Olivia's photoshoot
-Stopping by the dduk store to inquire about the dol cake
-Grocery shopping
-Making another batch of food for Olivia's. She's venturing into cheeses and spinach this week
-Ordering the wet bar items for the basement
And my most favorite item of all - going to Best Buy to buy a new DISHWASHER!!!! WOOOOOTTTTT!!!! This baby is all stainless steel - inside and out. The best feature is that it has a "sanitize" feature so I can just throw everything of Olivia's in there instead of handwashing. Anything that saves me time and my poor chapped hands is a God-send!
Miss Olivia is doing well! She is babbling so much more. Everything is "ma" or "umma." I swear she also says, "done" and "bbul" which is light in korean. I think she also says "mung mung" which is puppy in korean. She is getting good at waving goodbye, pointing. She loves to run around the island in her walker. She's getting pretty good at going up the stairs but she's not standing on her own or walking though. Everyone always asks me that. It's funny - some strangers she really loves and others she really detests. For instance, she didn't really warm up to Mr. Ho's cousin, Andy, all that much. But she fell in LURVE with the owner of the hanbok store and the waitresses at the sushi restaurant. Hmm... I think she likes old asian people. Lol. She will have serious staredowns with asian men. We were waiting in line at H&M and there was a korean man behind us and she would not stop staring. Maybe it reminds her of her daddy. Who knows. She's a funny girl.
Oh, I bought Olivia a new hanbok. I don't know when I'll get the other one so I hope the lady will issue me a refund *crossing fingers*
Going to be early tonight because I have to stay up a bit late tomorrow. Toodles!

Follow-Up
I bought the Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaner thing. The contraption is a pretty awesome. My only one complaint is that the smell is really strong for my current bionic nose.
My mother is here. Right now she is cleaning the shit out of my kitchen sink. I thought it was clean but apparently fails her inspection.
And yes, Kanye is a douche. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop listening to his music.

Old
You know you're getting old when you get really excited during a commercial for a new cleaning product. What has tickled my fancy?

It's the new Scrubbing Bubbles Toliet Cleaning Gel. I just really love the stamping concept and how it goes away when it's done! I am so getting this the next time I'm in the store.
I also know I am aging because McD's has gotten rid of one of my childhood staples - the strawberry sundae. I've been craving it like crazy and now it's nowhere to be found.
I am really excited about cooler weather. I am loving my new Love Quotes scarf and plan to get more in many colors :)

Curious George
Do people read this blog? I have no idea who my audience is. I sometimes wonder if I should make it really public (i.e. post the link on my facebook). Not sure about that one. Your opinion is welcome.
I did a semi-clean today. Which basically means I didn't vacuum. I hate pushing that sucker around. I did Swiffer the floor and busted out my Swiffer Slippers. Genius! It is really hot in the house. I guess summer is really kicking in full swing now. I have a few things to knock off my to-do list. Then Mr. Ho and I are going to go get Rocky some food and go grocery shopping. I love my husband. Have I said that recently?
So excited because DHuang will be in town this weekend! I am SO SO SO happy about that. I miss her so much.

Ramblings
The weekend was a lot of fun. Friday night, Mr. Ho and I went to see Russell Peters at the DC Improv and we had such a great time! The opening act, Mike Young, was so funny. I think he's coming out with a HBO special soon. But no one compares to Russell. Mr. Ho feared he would recycle his old stuff, but he kept it fresh and hilarious! He is so good at making fun of people in the audience. I would definitely go see him again. You know why else this was a good night? I got to wear my Loubs for the first time! I wish the bottoms would never scuff.
Saturday, Mr. Ho and I had dimsum with SIL, BIL, and Grandma Ho at Mark's Duck House. Afterwards, we picked up Big A and took him to the Fairfax Fair. I haven't been to a fair in so long and it just showed me how much I have aged. Rides that I used to LOVE now make me feel so damn nauseous. Heights that used to thrill me scare the crap out of me. At least A had lots of fun! We took him to eat at Todai and the boy ate 4 avocado rolls, broccoli, green hello, pineapples, edamame, and some grapes. He is too funny. We were exhausted after the day with him (babysitting is great birth control) so we just watched Bolt and went to sleep.
Sunday, we went to church and then went to DC to pick up crabs at the waterfront. Mr. Ho had wanted to go to Orlando to celebrate our 1-year but I wanted to keep it low-key - crabs and beer! Too bad Mr. Ho had a horrible allergic reaction and broke out in hives. He took 2 Benadryl and passed out. It was definitely a low-key celebration :(
I can't believe SIL's wedding is less than a week! I'm so excited that DHuang and my parents will be in town!
Ok fine. I'll go Clorox the crap out of my bathroom. Later.

Patent Pending?
Monday = Cleaning Day.
As I was Swiffering the floor, I decided to double up on the cleaning action and attach two Swiffer sheets to my feet! Swiffer should make them and call them Swiffer Slippers.
More to come later, must finish the house.

Just Call Me Danny Tanner
There was the utmost rancid smell coming from our old fridge. I chucked everything I thought could be the culprit. Mr. Ho and I thought it might be one of his stinky cheeses, but nope. I made Mr. Ho go through the freezer too and he found a rotting piece of meat. The compartment above the defunct ice-maker was completely warm. Everything in that area was warm! The rest of the freezer was cold but not icy cold. I don't know why I did it, but when Mr. Ho took the meat out for me to inspect, I took the biggest whiff and dry heaved almost to death. So gross. So we bought a new fridge! I love it. It is so spacious, not to mention clean, fresh, and an energy-saver! I am a water snob and this water is totally drinkable so we'll be getting rid of the Deer Park cooler. The plastic is going to stay on there for a little bit. Just so I can relish in it's newness.
I never thought new kitchen appliances would make me so happy! Maybe I'm more excited to cross this off our house to-do list.
Whenever I go nuts cleaning or do anything house related, I always think of Danny Tanner - Bob Saget's character on Full House. Remember the episode where they bust Danny for vacuuming the vacuum cleaner? I do that.
PS. Watching Sleepers right now. Never saw it before. Love it!

Lots of Births Today
Today is a big day for birthdays!HAPPY 18th, HANA!
HAPPY 27th, DHUANG!
HAPPY 27th, FITZ!
(And if I've missed your birthday in the past, I apologize. I decided to give out birthday shout-outs after my brother's big day...)
It must be a day of miracles. I woke up at 730 AM! I don't know if it was 100% natural because I woke up to the sounds of my poor doggie puking. I hate dog puking - it's constant heaving until this nasty froth comes out.
So, I've been uber productive already - made dinner in the slow-cooker, tidied up, and not to mention, blogged! Now I'm off to run some errands, where I will try not to spend that much money. Mr. Ho and I reviewed our bank statement and 95% of the transactions were all ME! Guilty as charged.
