1. After turning off the lights, I heard what I think was a stink bug flying around the bed. So disgusting. Too tired to hunt for it. Hope I didn't swallow it in the middle of the night.
2. I pulled a muscle in my back while sleeping. Who does that?!
3. I had an awesome dream where I was BFFs with Beyonce and Jayz. I mean, they lovveessttt me. Best dream ever.

Saturday Fever (no more)
Life is back to normal. Olivia's fever is gone. I actually ended up taking her to the doctor that day because she just didn't seem like herself. They diagnosed her with a random virus. Not very helpful but good to know it wasn't an infection or anything. They had to check her ears and they could not see through it because of the wax. So the nurse had to pin her head down and I had to hold her knees down so they could take it out. It was so heartbreaking to see her sobbing. I think she was more terrified than anything else. But to see how much wax came out of a baby's ear... Wow.
Anyway, today was a great day. I cleaned, did laundry. We took Olivia to Tysons because I had ordered some shoes online - Sam Edelman Marina Pump in red suede. I love them. They are a great shade of red! I don't know where I'm wearing them but I'll figure that out. I actually just added another pair to my shopping cart. I'm not sure if I want to pull the trigger on them just yet.

It was close to dinner time so we decided to go to Honey Pig! I haven't been there since I was pregnant! I never wanted to take Olivia there when she was younger because it is crazy loud and very smoky from the BBQ. But it was great today! The food was delish and Olivia was content eating rice, steamed egg, some seaweed banchan and watching Pororo. We ended the day with swings at the park. The weather was so nice! Not hot at all.
Great news. We have two new additions to the family! Mr. Ho's second cousin in Toronto had a baby boy and his cousin in Pittsburgh also had a boy! The new generations are growing by the minute. Now we are just eagerly awaiting the arrival of SIL's baby girl! I had a dream last night that we surprised her with a visit to Australia. She lived in a sick 4-level apartment and had so many people over to see the baby. I was trying to hold her but she was getting passed around all these old people and they had her wrapped up in a plastic bag.
Well, I guess I should see what Mr. Ho is up to in the basement. Bye, peeps!

Dream
Last night I dreamt I was back in high school. The guy from No Reservations (his name escapes me right now) was my math teacher. Lebron James was my BF and I was Kris Jenner's personal assistant.

Sunday Night

Sunday nights are all the same. Unwinding from the weekend, getting ready for another week. I'm just sitting here at my desk in the kitchen, drinking wine, listening to Adele, and jotting down things-to-do in my planner. It's nice and quiet in the house. Mr. Ho's at football and Miss Olive is off in dreamland.
We had a good weekend. Yesterday was a rainy, miserable day. We went to the grocery store at 8 AM and then I did laundry and cleaned the house throughout the day. Mr. Ho made homemade ramen. It was Momofuku style. UNBELIEVABLY delicious!!!! It is an all-day affair but so worth the deliciousness! Today, I had lunch with Kim and Michelle at Wildfire. It was great to catch up with the ladies. Then we went to dinner with the in-laws and Olive's great-grandmother and Uncle Steve/Bong!
I had all these things I wanted to write and now I can't remember a damn thing.
Oh, here's one. While I'm sleeping and I have to pee in real life, I always dream about peeing. I search for a bathroom and it's always I either can't find one, the bathroom is filthy and I don't want to pee, or I sit on a toilet and no matter how hard I try, I just can't pee. Thank goodness I've never wet the bed. Haha.
So people keep asking me when I'm having another bebe. It's inevitable. Listen, I just want to enjoy Olivia. I want to relish in our little unit of 3. I want to feel normal for a little bit. And then we'll try again. Give me at least a year. Let me celebrate my 30th birthday in a drunken stupor and then we'll talk.
I have a picture of Miranda Kerr as my wallpaper on my iPhone as thinspiration but it's not working. I think I need to tattoo her hot body onto my hand or something. There is only one picture of her that really pisses me off though.

I hate it for 2 reasons.
1. She looks effing unbelievable after having a child! I looked a hot swollen mess.
2. I am super jealous of her beautiful baby at the boob. I still get really sad about that.
Anyway.
I took Oli to my grandparents on Friday. I always hate myself afterwards because I don't go there enough. They get such joy from seeing their great-granddaughter. What is wrong with me? We walked around Montgomery Mall afterwards. Zara has an AMAZING collection right now. It took SO MUCH self-control not to buy out the store. I just bought a couple of items because I have to remember I'll get to do some damage in California. I purchased a pair of pants, a navy blazer, a t-shirt dress, and a poofy skirt. I reluctantly put down a tank, shorts, and the CUTEST green dress. I was SO close to keeping the dress but I saw that the stitching was off and it was the last in my size so... *sigh*
I cleaned my closet yesterday. I got rid of 2 trashbags full of stuff and it didn't really make a dent. I really wish I had a personal stylist to bring me tons of options.
Ok. I think I'm going to take a shower. Nitey Nite Party People!

10 Days Late
No, not what you think. I told myself I'd start weaning from the pump one month before Olivias birthday. And I haven't started. I even had it in my planner: "Feb 1: WEANING!!!!"
I can't bring myself to do it. Why? I feel an enormous amount of guilt. I guess it's that mommy guilt rearing it's ugly head. She does so well on breastmilk. What if cows milk just doesn't do her any good? What if she hates it? Breastmilk provides all these antibodies. Should I just keep going until flu season is over at least?
We got a new dishwasher so washing bottles and pump parts has become a thing of the past. Our awesome Samsung dishwasher sanitizes and it is really just amazing. But weaning would free up so much of my time. Sigh. I know I gotta start soon.
I had a dream last night I had another baby girl. And I've been thinking all day about having another baby. After Olivia was born, I told myself I would NEVER do it again. But I miss that newborn-ness. I feel like I was so delirious from the labor and the c section that I didn't get to really enjoy it. This time, it's an automatic c section so it might be easier? Idk. I would like Olivia to be walking and out of diapers first. Mr. Ho wants a Dragon. Olivia is a special tiger - a white tiger and apparently this upcoming dragon is special too. But the tiger and the dragon won't get along because they will both be so fierce.
I'm getting way ahead of myself.
Olivia can clap on cue now. It's adorable!! I love when she Gives me love. She rubs her face all over mine. Or I love When she takes a break from playing and will crawl over to rest her head on me. She also starts "singing" along when she she's really in the mood.
Excuse the typos. I'm on my phone. Gnite!!

Inception Conception
20-some odd years ago, my brother and I were outside playing with our neighbor. Randomly, I said. "What if we are just living a dream. When we go to sleep and dream, we are dreaming a dream. And then one day we'll just wake up."
They both stared at me like I was crazy.
But did I create the movie, "Inception" by putting it out in the universe like that??
Royalties, please.

Project Panic
What the HECK have I been doing??!!!
Olivia's dol is coming up way too quickly. I am having a mild panic attack. I came up with a quick checklist tonight and that list is a bit overwhelming now. I'm debating whether I should blog about the planning or just shock and awe you on that day.
Maybe I am going a bit overboard with this but it's her DOL! And it's her GOLDEN birthday! And that only comes ONCE in your life. Oh my sweet little baby. I wonder if I'm going to cry during this occasion. I already get teary-eyed when I look at her newborn pictures...
Or maybe I should take Mr. Ho's advice and just relax and keep it simple. She is only one year old, for goodness sake... We'll see how much I can get done between now and the party.
I'm feeling much better, btw. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me some meds. The aches went away but the meds made me really nauseous and gave me a horrible headache. Luckily, that cleared up today. I was able to go get my hair done with Leah. I haven't seen her in over a year. I missed her! She is the only one I trust with this head. I hope she never leaves this area.
My doll of a husband has done the morning shift the past three days and that has helped me so much. I haven't gotten this much sleep since pre-baby! 1030-7/8ish. I don't know if it's the meds or what but I have dreamt about the Kardashians the past two nights. I hope I do it again tonight. Fun dreams.
Did I mention Olivia has 3 teeth coming in? It is just the cutest thing. She is trying to master pulling herself up and such. I think she could do all these things a lot quicker but we seem to hold her a lot. And so do her grandparents. She needs more floor time - note to self.
I know, I talk about Olivia A LOT. But she is my entire world right now. These are the projects that will be overtaking my life/blog for awhile:
-DOL
-Basement
Ok, just two projects but BIG ones.

Can't Stop Smiling
We had the ultrasound today. I've kinda been a nervous wreck about it for the past couple of days. You just NEVER KNOW. You know? But I've been praying and trusting God, and I think that helped completely.
It was just astounding to see that baby with a spine, two legs, two arms, toes, fingers, a brain. To see the heart pumping and the blood rushing through. To see the arms around the face. To see the arms behind the head, straight chillen.
And to think that it's a GIRL!!! I am so unbelievably excited. I was convincing myself that it was going to be a boy, just because I didn't want to get my hopes up too much. Of course, if it were a boy, I would be beyond thrilled as well. But there's something about a daughter... Maybe my subconscious knew, because I could not come up with one boy name that really made any sense to me. And I had a dream last night that (don't laugh) I ran into an America's Next Top Model audition and I asked "Miss Tyra" (yes, I called her that) if I could audition even though they were ending. She granted permission as long as I could go get my lingerie for the photo shoot. So I ran around the lingerie department picking up only pink pieces. And I remember thinking in the dream, why am I picking pink when I don't even like the color on me? And voila. I'm having a girl. LOL. Me and my dreams.
*sigh*
I am off the charts happy right now. And I'm so excited for Mr. Ho. She is going to be the whole world for her. I can already see it now!
I can't wait to meet Olivia <3

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!
Last week, I had a really disgusting dream. I had to go number 2 really, really bad, but someone was occupying the toilet. I tried to hold it, but it slipped out and I caught it with my hands. I then ran to the sink to clean up.
The next morning, I told my mother about this dream and I figured she would tell me the usual - that my dreams are ridiculous. Instead, I was told to go buy a lotto ticket.
If you touch poop in any way in your dreams, it's good luck. With your hands, or if you're covered in it, or even if you slip on it - it's all good things. It doesn't even have to be your own poop.
So, I bought a Mega Millions ticket. And I won! I am now $7 richer!
Dreams do come true.

You Can Sleep When You Die
Can I tell you how much I disagree with this statement? I admire people who don't need too much sleep. Mr. Ho is like this. He functions pretty perfectly on minimal sleep and his body is programmed to wake up early - every single day. On the weekends, he is very wise and tries to leave the house for a little while so I can sleep even longer. I so appreciate a quiet house and he knows the wrath he will face if I'm forced to get up.
I think I sleep for the dreams. I have great, vivid dreams - adventure dreams, sad dreams (where I actually wake myself from real tears), and even sexy dreams (where Mr. Ho is the star, of course. Hubba Hubba). Even if I wake for a bit, I can force myself to continue where I left off. I love dreaming. I don't know how many times I've called Young and said, "So I dreamt last night..."
For the past seven months, I have spent A LOT of time sleeping. I cannot even admit how late I sleep in. It's a bit embarrassing. The problem may be that our room is very dark, even if it's full-on sunny outside. I asked Mr. Ho to open the blinds before he leaves for work, but he has yet to do so.
I made a few observations of my sleep habits that I know are just so fascinating, that I had to share...
1. I fall asleep on my sides/stomach.
2. If I stay up after 2 am, it is SO much harder to fall asleep.
3. I get the BEST sleep after Mr. Ho leaves for work. I snuggle into the middle of the bed and spread out as much as I can.
4. Rocky sleeps in as long as I do.
5. I get hot feet. I always have to have at least one foot outside of the blankets. I told my mom how I do this and she said that her brothers do the same thing. Blood doesn't lie.
There you go, FIVE FUN (SLEEP) FACTS.
I was up way early today (for me, anyway) - at 7 am! I had to help the elderly today, specifically my cute grandparents.
Hmmm... I think I shall take a nap now.
