What a family filled Sunday. We - me, Mr. Ho, Olive, mom, dad, and brother - all went to church in the morning. Then we hustled over to AJs on the Lake to meet future SIL and her family. We have met her brother and father but this is the first time we met her mother. There was engagement/wedding talk. But I stayed out of it. It was nice. Her brother is the only Korean dude i know who played college football! I love how our family is getting bigger. My parents have a family portrait hanging in the living room of the 4 of us but we have 3 more people to add to that now! We will probably take a new portrait after their wedding.
After, we just spent some time at home, took Olive to the playground and brought home tons of sushi to eat at home. I don't think the 7 of us have ever spent time together all at once before.
Wish I got a picture!!

My hubby arrived this morning!!! It was a happy reunion!
Can't believe we are missing the first snow on the east coast. Not gonna lie, loving the brisk fall weather here!

MS Morning
Every morning, my dad makes everyone a veggie/fruit juice. Everyone's is a little different. Mine has 4 carrots, 1 celery, 1 apple, 1 bell pepper, and 2 clementines. It's so yum! I would definitely make it every morning if someone cleaned the juicer afterwards.

Molasses
I haven't been updating bc my parents still use Ethernet and the 3G network is slow as...you guessed it. Molasses.
Things are great here. I become such a lazy worthless log down here. No cooking, cleaning, etc. So so lazy. It's such a nice break.

Sip
Oli and I are in Mississippi. We flew down this morning. Had to wake up at 530AM. Seemed like such an ungodly hour. Made me rethink my baby fever.
I didn't announce my trip on fb because I'm crazy. Not that I'm this important person that people would pay that much attention to. But my mind wandered... Mr. Ho is in Chicago for work and I was home alone. I didn't post because my mind wandered to what if someone breaks in and attacks us because they know we are alone and vulnerable via a fb status? Rocky is at his sitters so I didn't have our usual alarm system.
The flight was not great. It was a full flight and I was able to procure the only extra seat next to us. That was the only plus. Olivia was so restless. She was pissed from the start of her day because I had to wake her prior to her normal wake time. She just did not stay still and basically used me as a slide. Sit on my lap, slide down my body wet noodle style, repeat. I wanted a shot after that ride.
But it is great to be here. Mom had the walls lined up like Christmas.
The best part, I DON'T HAVE TO COOK FOR 10 DAYS!!!!!

Hi from MS
Hello Party People!
Sorry I haven't been blogging. My parents are existing on ethernet and refuse to upgrade to wifi. And the 3G network is slow as molasses here. So it's been hella annoying trying to blog. I tried to blog a Mother's Day entry but that didn't work. Hope all my mommy friends had a wonderful Mother's Day <3
Things here have been GREAT. I love it so much. I don't cook or clean. No laundry. And I get to sleep as soon as Olivia wakes because the parents want to play with her. It has been heaven. I really needed this break. Since Olivia did so well on the plane ride, it encourages me to come here more often. I am already getting sad about parting with the parentals in 2 weeks. I'm really going to miss the sleep fo sho.
We are leaving for Cali on Monday. Danny got into town yesterday so he could attend his fiance's graduation from Ole Miss today.
You know what's true about Southern folks? They really do have great manners. And they are groomed really well.
Um. I don't have that many stories. I've just been at the house or at my parent's store. Or shopping with my mom. It's been a very pleasent trip.
I hope everyone is doing well! I'll try to update more in Cali. We have wifi at the beach house. Hallelujah!!

We made it
What a crazy day. I'm blogging from the phone so I'll do quick bullet points.
-both Mr. Ho and I were on edge all morning getting ready. Olivias still congested. She didn't poop in the morning (I was so scared of a poopy diaper on the plane! But luckily she pooped before we left.). I had a million things to do before we left!!
-the car ride to the airport was a shit show. Traffic. Olivia throws up all over herself. I'm car sick and even more nauseous from the smell of her vomit. I'm dry heaving into a zip lock bag. We pull over a mile from BWI and I puke. Great
-luckily the plane was super empty so we got a whole row! Olivia did great! A little fussing at take off and landing but we played with stickers, read books, ate food, and watched cartoons.
-and now I'm laying next to her on my parents bed which was moved to the floor for us. I'm scared she will roll off.
But I'm going to go to bed . Like I said, today was a shit show. Started with poop (me worried she didn't take a morning poop) and ended with shit. Why? Because She pooped before bath and I'm checking her diaper and somehow her hairbow falls directly into the poop.
Bbye favorite hair bow. What a way to go.

A Mississippi Review
Great time as always in Mississippi. All I do there is eat and sleep/eat and sleep some more. I did, however, learn something - how to sew a button. Don't laugh at me, friends. I may be very domestic in some things but I very much lack some skills. But I practiced long and hard and I will now show you the fruits of my labor:

Nice, right? I started the face too wide, hence the huge forehead, small chin. My parents also took me on a beautiful drive on the Natchez Trace Parkway - a 444 mile ancient trail. I saw my very first swamp!
Too bad it was raining. I really wanted to walk some more along the swamp... The best part of the drive was getting FRESH Krispy Kremes! When they are hot and gooey, it is so easy to devour all of them. I refrained and only had 2. Wish I had one right now!
As always, a tearful goodbye. I will be seeing my parents soon though. My dad always says one thing when I see him, "I am a falling star and you are the rising sun." He is so hokey, but hilarious and sweet. He said one of his biggest life's regrets was not getting cable asap when we moved to Frederick because I would watch fuzzy television and he believes that's why I have such bad eyesight. Yeah, Dad, not the genetics you passed on to me, but the fuzzy tv screen. That's gotta be it :)

Dirty Dirty
I'm typing this from my parent's house right now on some slow, shady Internet. There's some Korean drama on the tube and my stomach is full of food. Ah, I must be home.
I hope all of you have a lovely Easter weekend. Mr. Ho is protecting the castle with Rocky and the SIL, so if you have some time, go swing by and say hello :)

The Holiday Spirit
2008 is almost to an end, it's already December! Once Thanksgiving hits, everything else is a crazy whirlwind until the new year. The new year in which I will turn 27. Ugh.
Thanksgiving in Mississippi was a great time, as expected. I miss my parents so much. Everytime we part ways at the airport, I always tear. Since Mr. Ho was with me this time, I tried to hold back, but he has Mrs. Ho-Crying-Radar or something, because he always catches me just when the tears are about to hit!
I wish I could SHIZAM my parents to where we live forever and ever. My dream would be to own a huge house with an equally huge guest house, where my parents would reside. Come on, Lotto!
My father fried our turkey this year and it was DELICIOUS. I felt the need to name our turkey, because dad spent so much time cleaning it and rubbing it down with all the seasonings. Yeah, I got attached to the dead bird. I asked dad to do the honors, and the man named our turkey, EatChopChop. Senseless, yet perfect. I actually made the rest of the sides and spent the rest of the evening downing the magnum-sized bottle of wine.
Do you know what you want for Christmas this year? Since we are officially in a recession, I guess my list needs to be recession-friendly. So I say, I want nothing. But, if you really want to know, I definitely have a list. Remember that show Boy Meets World with Ben Savage? There was this episode where Cory Matthews' mother is all upset because her husband buys her a dishwasher for their anniversary and she thought it was so unromantic and the husband thought it was just very practical. I enjoy practical gifts. If I got a new refrigerator, I'd accept it with open arms! Beggars can't be choosers. I'd like to clarify, that I don't want a dishwasher or a refrigerator, however. That clarification was specifically for Mr. Ho.
Random story: Today I went to Target to look for 2009 planner refills, but alas, they didn't have the size I was looking for. I left empty-handed, probably a FIRST for Target, and headed over to my car. I'm still not used to parking the new car, so I had awhile to walk because I parked so, so far away. I was walking in the same direction as this other lady (who I swear, was talking to herself) and who I noticed was very, very tall. In the distance, I saw my Range Rover and saw a Smart Car - those ridiculous clown cars. I literally jump into my car (I can't reach sometimes) and see the tall lady get into her Smart Car. This situation reaffirmed that I certainly have a Napoleon Complex.
Long overdue FIVE FUN FACTS...
2. At our Andover Lane house, there was this black cat that would sit in front of our deck door and meow all night long, everyday for about a month. So creepy.
3. I love squid - dried squid, boiled squid, sushi squid. My mother revealed that my grandmother first gave me dried squid when I was a year old so I would stop crying and I'd suck on that thing for hours.
4. I can read really fast. A book usually takes hours. Although, the book I'm currently reading (all 1000 pages of it), Anna Karenina is taking FOREVER. This is my third attempt at this monstrosity.
5. My favorite smelling room in the house is.... the closet with all the cleaning products! I hope heaven smells like Swiffer.
PS. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A PSA. I KNOW THERE ARE SPACING ISSUES IN SOME POSTS, BUT IT'S NOT ME, I PROMISE. I AM TOO ANAL TO LET THOSE THINGS JUST PASS. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH BLOGSPOT AND I'D LIKE THEM TO FIX IT. NOW. IT DRIVES ME CRAZY.
