Lots of stuff this weekend. My phone is on the fritz. It's been dropped one too many times. I predict it's death very soon.

Celebrating 30

Last night, we went to co.co sala in DC to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends and family. It was a lovely evening, for real. I had butterflies in my stomach all day. I kept telling Mr. Ho I was nervous. I don't really know why. But once we got there and I saw everyone's beautiful faces, I felt much better. We shared many sinfully concocted drinks, delicious foods, and laughter for days.

The party was supposed to be a surprise. But I am really, REALLY good at weaseling information out of my husband. He just breaks. I don't even think I'm that great of an interrogator, but I am unrelenting.

I wore this dress from asos.com. Great price, great fit. But I won't lie. I had to buy some Spanx. I got the higher power brief. Look, I know I am on the skinny side. But post-baby, I have this pooch thing? It's not a gut, per se. Just this extra skin. Not saggy, but a pooch. Most of the time, you don't see it. But this dress, made me self-conscious. And yes, it's partially my fault because I have not focused on working out. At all. The few attempts at bikram yoga do not count. Anyway, those spanx worked well. Also, not eating late at night also works well. I posted a bunch of pictures on facebook, but here's one before we left. You can kind of see the pooch in the picture. *sad face*

I also got this great faux fur coat from Zara before the holidays. I think it's all sold out because it's not on the site. Anyway, I love that coat. I also love those red shoes.

When the party was dwindling down, two of my friends made me take shots. Yuck. A SoCo and lime and some chocolate one. They were disgusting and put me over the edge. I was 100% fine before that. Either way, I ate a shin ramen last night AND this afternoon to cure the hangover. (Blue Gatorade and ramen are my hangover cures).

The only negative about this weekend was that I missed K's baby shower. She is bringing in a beautiful baby boy into the world and the PTC. I rsvp'ed to the shower without realizing it was the day after the party. I was looking forward to bringing Olivia to meet some 2nd generation FHS daughters. Next time, for sure.

After I finally got myself together (Mr. Ho took Olivia to the in-laws and I slept in till, get this, 11 freaking 30. AMAZE!!!!!!!!) we took her to Clemyjontri Park. It was a bit chilly, but a beautiful day nonetheless. We met up with several of our friends/her friends. Then we had dinner at Tachibana with BFFF's kids and HeSean.

And now I'm here blogging...

Anyway, I'm not 30 yet. Tuesday is the official day. Not entirely looking forward to that. I AM looking forward to eating at Komi with Mr. Ho.

The party made me happy. That's one good thing about 30 - your circle of friends is totes legit :)

Friday Colds

I was just telling Mr. Ho how he always gets sick but I never do. Jinxed myself on that one. I have the beginnings of a cold - sore throat, runny nose. I also have a very achy shoulder. The left one. Ever since Olivia was born - holding her, nursing her. It's never been the same. Olivia has a slight cold too but I think hers is teething related. Those suckers are really popping out of no where.

Hopefully, the cold will go away before Christmas. Can't believe it's next week! I think I'm done shopping. My mom sent me some pants and jacket that I already opened. Must exchange the pants. They fit kind of strange - really good in the legs but huge in the waist. If I can get my ish together, I'll post a picture. Love them.

Happy Friday, friends! Any weekend plans? I don't think we have any. Just football for Mr. Ho tomorrow morning. Maybe we'll make up a Little Gym class tomorrow.

Saturday

Today Mr. Ho played football and then we went to my mothers's friends's art show. I've known her since I was 3. She's such a sweet and talented lady! She was the one who made Olives 1 year bday cake.

Then we went to my dear friend Js house to celebrate her 30th! She had a picnic theme. And a camping theme downstairs complete with a starry night and s'mores! I didn't get a chance

Weekend Wrap Up

Hi friends. Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was not very eventful.

Friday, Olivia had the playdate and my friend D's house. There were tons of cute kids running around. Olivia was not as shy as she usually is. I think she remembered the house and the toys. She fell asleep on the way home which meant she did not nap that day. And any mom knows, no nap is not good news. She slept a bit in the car when we went to the post office to mail SIL a gift for baby Chloe. Best part was that she went to bed a little earlier than usual, which means just a little more down time for me in the evening.

Saturday, while Mr. Ho went to work, Olive and I skyped with DHuang! We caught up on all things in life. It was a lovely time. Although, I promised I would watch Revenge and I have yet to do so. We are going to read the Hunger Games together so I need to go and purchase that stat. In the evening, we had dinner with Olive's "Beloved" - her great-grandmother. We went to Yechon in Annandale and it was SO delicious! I haven't been there in two years or so and it was incredibly crowded. I guess I'm used to the after-club crowds. But it was very family-oriented with a very mixed crowd. We noticed so many mixed kids. I love that. With our own little mixed baby, it's fun to see love in all shades.

Today, we did a bit of grocery shopping. Went to Wegmans and H Mart (korean market). I've included a picture of the damage. We usually spend around $150 a week, give or take. Is that normal? Feels like a lot. The in-laws are returning from their vacation today, so I made daeng-jang jigae, bulgogi, rice, and some sliced cucumbers with spicy dipping sauce for them since I know they have no food at home. I'm pretty sure they are exhausted and the last thing on their minds is to cook. Anyway, I hope they enjoy the food.

And now I am watching dear daughter dance around to the Fresh Beat Band. By the way, my friend R and I bought tickets to the Fresh Beat Band concert in April!!! So excited for Olive. I wish we bought them earlier so we could've gotten VIP tickets, which would include a meet and greet! But I find solace in knowing she probably won't remember the concert anyway.

Her favorite shows are the Fresh Beat Band, Bubble Guppies, Wow Wow Wubzy and Pororo. She enjoys the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse now and then. Oh, and Dino Dan. And Super Why. Ok, maybe she has more than she should at this age but she really does learn things. Like music, instruments, animals, etc.

DC Day

After Mr. Ho played football, we went to DC on a whim. Went to the Museum of Natural History, where Olive clung to me for dear life. She was scared and now I fear she will have nightmares.

Then we hung out on the lawn for a bit and then ate at Graffiato - finally! It was worth the wait. We got great seats by the kitchen and watched Mike Isabella plate. He had his hands on every dish that went out. Very impressed. I was a stalker and asked for a picture and even tweeted it! I'm such a sucker for celebs.

There Will Be Blood

Friday was Olivia's first MAJOR accident. We've had scrapes here and there, but nothing like this.

It was after dinner. She was hanging out on her chair, drinking juice, watching tv. I was away for a split second when I hear terrified screaming. I run to her and her mouth is wide open, but silent. So you know a huge scream is about to happen. And when it does, so does the blood that pours out of her mouth. OMG. It was so scary. You are supposed to stay calm in those situations so you don't frighten them even more, but I couldn't contain it. I was all, "oh my God" over and over and over again.

She fell out of her chair and hit her mouth on something. She has minor cuts around her mouth but did a bit of damage to the inside of her mouth.

The first call I made was to my father-in-law, the dentist, to come over and examine her. The second call was to Mr. Ho, who was all curses and drove from Tysons to home in about 5 minutes in rush hour traffic.

FIL said she would be fine. And she was. The crying lasted about 5 minutes and she wanted to resume watching tv. Her lips were swollen but she was ok eating her popsicle, which I gave her to help with the swelling.

What a nightmare. They say kids are resilient and they are. But they are equally as fragile. My poor poor bebe. I just wanted to die right there. I felt a tremendous amount of guilt and was shell-shocked for about 48 hours.

You learn a lot about a person during emergency situations. How do you react? I notice I shut down verbally. I don't want to talk to anyone. It's hard for me to focus. I couldn't prioritize fast enough.

It reminded me of the time in elementary school when something happened to my dad. I'm not sure what the word for it is in English, but basically his entire body seized up and he couldn't move or speak. The ambulance had to come. I was so worried for my dad but my reaction was to turn on the television so I could block everything out. My mom yelled at me afterwards, wanting to know what the eff I was doing while my dad was in so much pain. I really couldn't explain it to her at the time. Basically, I couldn't deal with what was happening and I wanted it to go away. I shut down and shut out what was going on around me. I wanted to watch tv like it was just a normal afternoon, not an afternoon where my dad was sick and had to go to the hospital.

I don't think I would come out as a hero in any emergency/apocalyptic situation. As much as I would want to be, I don't think it's in me. Disappointing thought of the day.

The rest of the weekend was fine. Book club, grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry. Mr. Ho did a lot of cooking - french toast, lobster rolls, tacos.

Off to bed now.

Scary Sunday

Our neighbor rang our doorbell this morning and told us that some cops arrested him! They confused him with another suspect that was wandering the woods nearby our neighborhood with a big gun! So he advised us to lock all our doors, windows and garage. SO scary!

Our weekend was SUPER lazy. Mr. Ho's cousin was in town from Chicago so we came over last night. But other than that - it was football, laundry, grocery shopping. Mr. Ho also made his AMAZING homemade ramen. Olive is a tad under the weather - again! Runny nose, congestion, and a little bit of a wet butt.

I hate how cold it is already! I'm hoping the sun will come out this week so we can get out of the house.

Friday

• Penne Rose and giant rice krispy treat for dinner.
• Finally watched Bridesmaids! It was really good! I was expecting it to be off the charts hilarious, and it was at times, but I think I laughed more during The Hangover.

Saturday

• Mr. Ho actually didn't play football in the morning.
• MIL and FIL came by in the morning and I ran to Wegmans.
• I bummed around the house while Mr. Ho took Rocky to the park, took him to the groomers, washed his beds at the Laundromat, and shampooed the carpets! He actually said, "why don't you drop off Olivia at my parent's and go get a mani/pedi!" What the What? Was it opposite day?
• So I went to Luxxe Nail and Spa in Vienna. I found it on Yelp and it was pretty good! The place has only been open for a year. No chemically smells and the lady did a great job shaping my nails.
• We were contemplating whether or not to go out to dinner, but FIL wanted to come over with sushi and his new fondue kit! So yummy.
• My brother, fiance, and two friends went to the Renaissance Festival. His fiance wanted a cup of Mr. Ho's coffee so they all swung by. It was a great time!!

Today

• What a lazy day! I took two naps.
• Mr. Ho took Olive to Trader Joe's.
• Watched football. Well, I watched Mr. Ho watch football.
• MIL and FIL stopped by.
• Brother and Fiance stopped by.
• Mr. Ho and I took Olive and Rocky on a walk.
• And now I'm watching Amazing Race!

Good low-key weekend!

Another Weekend Past

We had a fab weekend over here at the Ho House. Saturday, I hosted book club and the ladies did not disappoint! Well, I was the only one who read the book in it's entirety. Two ladies read half. But either way, the food was delicious and the non-book discussion was fun and most enjoyable! A couple of them helped me accessorize an outfit for the wedding after party we were supposed to attend that evening, but we actually did not go.

Today, Mr. Ho and I were so happy to have our old roommates to the house! The brought over yummy food (THANK YOU!!) from Myung-Ga and Olivia did her best to entertain them. She really warmed up to Mr. and Mrs. OGDM. And I think she's getting there with DHuang!

It really makes me happy when I see my friends interact with Olivia. They are all so good with her. And they are all attentive and so caring. I know she will always have a great support system outside of the family.

Love, love my friends. When you are younger, you want as many friends as possible - the cooler the better. How naive and stupid. I wouldn't trade my circle of friends for anything. They are my sounding board/my forum. Each of them are blessed with irreplaceable gifts. I really cherish their individualities and I hope I enrich their lives as much as they do mine!

Friday

I am so tired for a Friday night. Perhaps it was due to Olivia's freak wake-up at midnight last night. She gave a startling cry. I went in there. She cuddled up to me on the recliner but would not close her eyes. I tried leaving her in her crib. No. I tried shushing and patting. No. I tried commanding her to sleep - "Just SLEEP. Why won't you sleep?" No. Three hours later, I finally just sang to her. I normally sing to her before bed but I didn't do it this time in my delirium. I felt dumb.

Today was a good day. The skies cleared and the sun came out! We went over to my friend's house. She organized a quick play date. It was Olivia and 3 other boys. It took her about an hour to warm up. My friend's son tried to eat her cheddar bunnies and she was NOT having that. She kept pushing him away and screaming. It was slightly embarrassing? I'm not sure if it's a boy thing, but they were just roaming around, having a good time. And Olivia is sitting on my lap, observing. And giving people "the face." Oh, you'll know it if you see it. But after a bit, she started to explore and play, too. Whew. My friend invited her neighbor over. She has a 14-month old. Just moved here from Korea. She said she had no friends or family. I felt so bad for her! So I gave her my digits. Perhaps a lunch or something will be in order. She reminds me of my SIL, all the way in the land down under... So I want to show kindness to the new girl, like I hope someone would show kindness to SIL.

Speaking of SILs, my future SIL is officially moved into my brother's condo. She seriously whipped up that apartment into shape! The last time I went over there, I saw a thick layer of dust on his nightstand. And there was just a general sense of bachelor ickiness. Now, there are candles burning, pictures on walls, organization and cleanliness. I'm looking forward to having another friend in the area. She is a young lass, but she does have a good heart.

Olivia is so cute these days. I really love this age. She can do our own version of sign language. She understands 99% of what I say in korean. She loves to dance. She has specific "moves." I especially love tippy toe ballerina. And when she just gets dizz-own with knee bends and hand flaps. And she does these animal noises/gestures. She's got dog, elephant, tiger, sheep, duck, gorilla down pat!

A fun weekend is in store. Manana: book club, and a wedding after-party. Sunday: a mini-3812 reunion.

Sunday Past

Hi friends. How was your weekend? I have some stuff to do around the house so here's a bullet-point rundown:

• Mr. Ho played 2 games of football
• Olivia and I went to an open playtime at the local community center. It was ok. She was still shy but no physical contact was made this time. Hallelujah.
• More swings and slides at the park
• Dinner at Mama's.
• Target with Mama. We went to buy her lightbulbs but I ended up buying a yoga mat, 2 DVDs for Oli, 2 storage boxes for Oli's old clothes, tennis balls for Rocky, drawing paper and big crayons for Olive. Very productive and everything for under $100. Amazing!
• Coffee trip to Chinatown Coffee Co. in DC
• My absolute favorite DHuang was in town!!!! She came over and we just ate and talked. It was like old times with her standing on one side of the island (eating) and me sitting on the other side (eating) but also feeding a baby. I lovest her so much and am so proud of all that she's accomplished since she flew the nest. So happy I get to see her and the OGDM's in a month!

Saturday Night

Today seemed like a really long day. Olivia had a rough night sleeping. She was stirring/fussing like every few hours or so. I finally realized she was sleeping with a poopy diaper :( But now she has another case of the nose runs. And a very slight fever. I think she might be teething. She is SUPER needy of Mommy. I leave her sight and I can hear her little "umma? umma? UMMA?!" and she does this thing with her hands when she wants something. It's so adorable but a bit exhausting, I won't lie.

We went to my grandparent's house today because it's my grandfather's birthday this week. We brought over some BonChon Chicken. But we really chowed down on Grandma's food. Man, that woman can cook so well. We always eat to the brink of coma and end up laying down on the couches. It doesn't help that it's like Spa World Jr. there. So effing hot. Oh, Danny came with us! I haven't seen my brother since we were in Mississippi together. It really is a dog gone shame how little we see each other. I really miss having a close relationship with him. I know he is really busy with work, but still...

Zara is having a MAYJOR sale, people. I didn't get anything but I am thinking about this royal blue blazer that I definitely should have picked up.

We had SUCH a poop accident today. I've read about people who go to get their kiddies after a nap and find them playing in their own feces because they took off their own poopy diaper. Well, I took off Oli's diaper and let her "air out" (very important, future parents of the world) and started cleaning the dinner dishes. Mr. Ho was outside with Rocky and Oli was standing by the door watching, as she always does. Well, I didn't think anything would happen (I know her poop schedule) so I wasn't really paying attention. So I peeked over to see what she was up to and saw her looking at her feet reaching for something. I go over there and find poop everywhere - all over her feet, hands and the rug. UGH. Nightmare. It was right up to bath after that disaster.

I just got done some cleaning, put a load in the laundry. And now I'm going to make the grocery list. I am in such a food rut. I'm tired of the crap I make. I need new recipes.

Summarize

Hello Party People. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I sure did. Our last weekend in town before we go off on our West Coast adventure! Here's my weekend update...

Friday: Olivia went to Tysons to return several items that I ordered online. A few stuff for her from Old Navy and Gymboree. I ended up purchasing a few items for myself - a JLO-style hat, red linen romper and denim-ish shirt for Mr. Ho at Urban Outfitters, and a blouse, tank, and dress from H&M. It was a good shopping day. I don't cook on Fridays. We like to call it Sushi Friday because Mr. Ho gets me carryout sushi from Arigato almost every Friday. Yum.

Saturday: It was SUCH a beautiful day! We went grocery shopping in the morning and Mr. Ho decided he wanted to smoke pork in the BBQ. It takes ALLLLLL day but the end result is pure deliciousness. Jen and Jess swung by the house and we decided to go to Spa World! Spa World, for those who don't know, is a Korean Bathhouse. Ladies and Gentlemen have their separate locker rooms and bathing pools. You can get massages or scrubs. And you have to be butt-naked. You can join the opposite sex in the common area where they have these different huts of different temperatures and elements to sweat out your impurities. I really love it. I think we might try to do this on a regular basis.

Today: The weather was not as nice and it was quite the lazy Sunday. We ate brunch at Artie's and that's pretty much it. Mr. Ho is at football right now and I'm waiting for the laundry to dry so I can fold it. Today is also my mother's birthday and Olivia's 14th month!

My BFFF sent me this link the other day. It's someone's blog and it is HILARIOUS! I feel like DHuang sent it to me before but I forgot all about it. You guys should read it and have a big laugh.

Easter

Hello, friends. I am sitting here listening to Olivia perfect her scream over the monitor. She has been really resisting her naps. I think she might be ready to go to just one nap a day. I'm nervous to change it up though because we are so close to vacation time and I'd hate to change her routine now.

The weekend was really great! Mr. Ho had off on Good Friday. I sent him and Olivia over to the In-Laws because we got our carpets cleaned! I used OxiFresh. Joe was great. He was really thorough and the carpets dried very quickly. I was cleaning while he was cleaning. He actually LAUGHED at my Swiffer slippers. In the evening, we had dinner at Fortune with the In-Laws and the Mars. They are moving back to Alberta because Gary is running for premier! Isn't that super exciting?

Saturday, we went to the grocery store in the AM and sort of on on a whim (we had talked about it for awhile now), we decided to go the zoo! The Wiltshires couldn't join us but we did ask Mackenzie to come with since she will be leaving soon. They live literally next door to the zoo. Olivia actually LOVED seeing all the animals! She would point and babble. Her favorite were the elephants. After dropping off Mackenzie, we went to eat at Rays the Steaks. Yes, it was 4:30 PM and yes there were a lot of old people there. But it was great for us. We had a leisurely dinner and then made it home with enough time before Olivia goes down at night.

We did not go to church on Easter Sunday. This bugs me, but we don't have a church to go to right now. I want to find a church so Olivia can go to Sunday School. It's something I'm going to work on when we get back from our vacation. In the afternoon, we went to Remi's 1st birthday party at Clemyjontri Park. When I first read the park's name, I thought it was a misprint. But apparently the park got it's name from the children of the parents who invested in the park. This is a GREATTTT park!! The ground is rubber or something so if there is an accident, it's not as bad. There are tons of things for every age. Even a carousel! The only downfall is that everyone else thinks it's a great park too. So parking is limited and I can imagine it being quite the cluster**ck during peak times.

Here's a cute Olivia story. I am great at picking stuff up with my little toes. I did this in front of Olivia the other day and afterwards, she kept trying to stick things in her feet. Soo cutteeee.

Right now, I'm reading Summer and the City by Candace Bushnell on my IPhone. Did I mention I read stuff on my iPhone that i would be embarrassed to buy in person? Like Lauren Conrad's books. I am actually debating whether or not I want an eReader. I love having books on my bookshelf though... I'm really torn about this. Anyway, the book is good so far! It's about Carrier, fresh into her first days in NYC and meeting all her girlfriends. So far, she's met Samantha and Miranda.

Sunday Night

Sunday nights are all the same. Unwinding from the weekend, getting ready for another week. I'm just sitting here at my desk in the kitchen, drinking wine, listening to Adele, and jotting down things-to-do in my planner. It's nice and quiet in the house. Mr. Ho's at football and Miss Olive is off in dreamland.

We had a good weekend. Yesterday was a rainy, miserable day. We went to the grocery store at 8 AM and then I did laundry and cleaned the house throughout the day. Mr. Ho made homemade ramen. It was Momofuku style. UNBELIEVABLY delicious!!!! It is an all-day affair but so worth the deliciousness! Today, I had lunch with Kim and Michelle at Wildfire. It was great to catch up with the ladies. Then we went to dinner with the in-laws and Olive's great-grandmother and Uncle Steve/Bong!

I had all these things I wanted to write and now I can't remember a damn thing.

Oh, here's one. While I'm sleeping and I have to pee in real life, I always dream about peeing. I search for a bathroom and it's always I either can't find one, the bathroom is filthy and I don't want to pee, or I sit on a toilet and no matter how hard I try, I just can't pee. Thank goodness I've never wet the bed. Haha.

So people keep asking me when I'm having another bebe. It's inevitable. Listen, I just want to enjoy Olivia. I want to relish in our little unit of 3. I want to feel normal for a little bit. And then we'll try again. Give me at least a year. Let me celebrate my 30th birthday in a drunken stupor and then we'll talk.

I have a picture of Miranda Kerr as my wallpaper on my iPhone as thinspiration but it's not working. I think I need to tattoo her hot body onto my hand or something. There is only one picture of her that really pisses me off though.


I hate it for 2 reasons.
1. She looks effing unbelievable after having a child! I looked a hot swollen mess.
2. I am super jealous of her beautiful baby at the boob. I still get really sad about that.

Anyway.

I took Oli to my grandparents on Friday. I always hate myself afterwards because I don't go there enough. They get such joy from seeing their great-granddaughter. What is wrong with me? We walked around Montgomery Mall afterwards. Zara has an AMAZING collection right now. It took SO MUCH self-control not to buy out the store. I just bought a couple of items because I have to remember I'll get to do some damage in California. I purchased a pair of pants, a navy blazer, a t-shirt dress, and a poofy skirt. I reluctantly put down a tank, shorts, and the CUTEST green dress. I was SO close to keeping the dress but I saw that the stitching was off and it was the last in my size so... *sigh*

I cleaned my closet yesterday. I got rid of 2 trashbags full of stuff and it didn't really make a dent. I really wish I had a personal stylist to bring me tons of options.

I Am Not Psychic

A while back, I posted a picture of Lily Allen wearing a homemade Chanel t-shirt. And while my prediction of Chanel replicating the shirt did not come true, she is the face of a recent campaign. So I'm kinda right? Haha.

I had a dream last night that someone bought me 3 Chanel bags. I didn't want to wake up from that one.

Did everyone have a good weekend? Mr. Ho and I hosted 3 kiddies from church for a little sleepover. I didn't know what to expect, but wow, it was a great time. They are the most well behaved kids I have ever met. Such a testament of how well their parents raised them. I hope I can raise my kids one day like that. I'll have to get some advice.

Mr. Ho is watching Teen Wolf right now and having a blast. Lol. He is the best husband in the world.

Hump Day Thoughts

I must be out of shape, folks.  Not only do I wake up hungry (such a rarity), but I have been super tired lately.  I did go to the gym last week (once) and it felt great.  I haven't been back since, but perhaps I will go tonight with Mr. Ho.  I dreamt about eating a Big Mac though.  And I really want some.  With some fries.  And a shake.  YUMMMM.  Yeah, it's 10 in the morning.

The wedding weekend went by so quickly!  We had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday.  I spent the night at Mrs. Smith's house.  They have a 10-month old baby, who got up 3-5 times during the night.  And needless to say, I got up each time with her and realized, "Dear Lord.  Am I ready for that??!"  I guess you have no choice and feel more inclined when the baby has come out of your lady parts, but still...  I love sleep.  I truly LOVE sleep.  Sleep and I are lovers.

We had an early day on Saturday.  We got our hair done at Structures.  It was so great to see an old friend.  She hasn't changed one bit.  We got ready at Chelle's parents' home in Farmbrook.  I don't think I've been in that neighborhood in YEARS.  It was quite touching to see our little Chelle all grown up and in her wedding dress :)  I definitely teared up during the ceremony, but held it together.  The priest totally looked like Philip Seymour Hoffman and I think he had been chugging the holy wine.

After photos, we headed over to the reception.  The food was pretty good.  I'm not drinking anymore so I had sparkling cider, which was absolutely delicious.  I may have to pick up a bottle of that!  It was great seeing all my PTC girls.  Everyone looked beautiful.  We danced, sort of.  SB requested Michael Jackson's PYT and then the DJ followed up with some random awful song so the dance floor cleared out pretty quick.

Post-reception, the girls went out to Brewer's Alley, where there were drinks to be had.  Mr. Ho bought 2 rounds of shots, which didn't go over well the next day, for dear friend, Pyp.  Haha!  We didn't stay too long because I was pretty damn exhausted and Rocky still needed to eat and be taken out.

I forgot to mention, Mr. Ho and I drove through my old neighborhood and I took a look at my house!  I haven't been there in forever.  The house looks so old.  I really just wanted to go run up the driveway and into the front door...  Lots of memories at that house.  That's my house in the picture up on the left...

Sunday, the CRAZIEST thing happened.  My brother literally asked me to hang out with him.  It was so strange and I felt like I was in the twilight zone.  We walked around Tysons and I helped him pick out clothes.  I love doing that.  It would be so fun to be a stylist.  Rachel Zoe meet your match, D.Ho!  Just kidding, she's way more fabulous than me.  My husband also marinated some AH-MAY-ZING galbi in the morning so we bbq'ed that shit up for dinner and had a great feast.  YUM.

I don't know why we have waited so long to do this, but Mr. Ho and I washed Rocky outside Monday night.  It was so perfect and a lot quicker and efficient than washing him in the utility sink.  It was actually a lot of fun and a cute bonding family moment.  Rocky smells so fresh and so clean right now.  I love a clean dog.

I ran a bunch of errands yesterday and even had lunch with a good friend, Daid.  She is such a talented designer.  If anyone needs any kind of design work, you should definitely get in touch with her.  She was the genius behind my print work at the wedding and SIL's wedding, too.

Now, I'm just waiting for my aunt to get here so we can get the day started...  Toodaloo.

And PS.  Apparently Jon Gosselin is not designing a kids line.  Thank the good Lord Almighty.

Beach House Weekend

5 members of the PTC went down to my father-in-law's condo in Virginia Beach.  It was a grand time of doing nothing.

On the drive down, we hit a crap load of traffic on 95, or as Sally the GPS says, "I-95."  It took over 5 hours to get down there and all I wanted was some damn Chick-Fil-A.  I kept mistaking Friendly's signs for the Chick.  BTW, Mr. Ho and I saw they are building the Chick RIGHT by my house.  That can just mean danger.

The weather-people predicted stormy weather for the weekend, but it turned out beautiful.  We were able to take a nice walk on the beach Friday night.  We made some spaghetti, facebooked old classmates, and then passed out after midnight.  I know, we really know how to party.

Saturday, we were out on the beach at 10:30 AM until a minor storm hit.  We chowed on junk food all day long (Cheese-Its, Goldfish, Sour Cream + Onion chips, Chex Mix, ice cream, Reese Pieces, and M&Ms) and watched Steel Magnolias - one of those classic movies I've never seen.  It was such a great movie!  Even though it was made in the 80's, the humor was still so current.  My favorite line of the movie?  If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit by me!  We ate dinner at some random Mexican restaurant and then watched Baby Mama.  Again, we were in bed by midnight.

My, how times have changed.   I used to party hard with these ladies.  Every time I would visit them, I would always binge drink and end up puking all night long.  Now, we share a bottle of wine and we are good.  

We each have such separate lives and keeping in touch grows harder each year.  It is amazing that our friendships have held strong and true.  I can't wait to go somewhere fabulous when we all turn the dirty 30!

PS.  We watched The Wrestler last week and I so loved it.  However, it left me oh-so depressed!  Mickey Rourke really was fantastic in his role.  I am partial to fake wrestling because I used to watch it all the time with my Dad.  Randy the Macho Man Savage, Hulk, Legion of Doom, Andre the Giant, Mean Gene, Junkyard Dog, Roddy Piper, anyone??
