Stuffed like a Turkey

That's how I feel at the end of each day. I just eat and eat. Even though I feel full, I can't stop, won't stop. Everything just tastes SO GOOD! Don't send the pregnant lady to go get food, because she'll come back with all sorts of stuff. Remember the Disney Popsicles I was craving? I found a great substitute - Wegman's Ice Pops. They have such a great old school Popsicle flavor. What else do I eat a lot of? Fruit in a can, refrigerated, Pirate's Booty, tomato soup and goldfish and grilled cheese. And lots of sweets.

The house looks fantastic. The wood floors complement the new sofa so nicely. I hung up our Christmas stockings already and Mr. Ho put up the Christmas tree this past Sunday. Olivia's paint color looks AMAZING. It's called Shabby Chic and it really is the color I was envisioning in my head. I love it. And her chandelier just adds the perfect romantic touch to the room. I'm going to go order her furniture when my mom is in town next week.

Going in for my monthly check-up tomorrow with SIL. Yes, SIL is in town for a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see Olivia. Her movements are so much stronger. When I'm sitting down, I can see my belly move. It's insane!

Home Improvement

Today, we had new floors installed in our tv room. Is it the family room or the living room? Because I never know the difference. Anyway, the room next to the kitchen. We are getting a new sectional on Wednesday. I can't tell you how freaken EXCITED I am!! This is something I've wanted to do since I moved in. It just makes this place feel more and more like MINE! We are also having Olivia's room painted this week. BFFF bought her a chandelier so that will be going up this week as well. I'll put up pictures once all her furniture is in. I'm soo sooooooo excited!

Pregnancy is good so far. The belly is growing everyday. I think I've put on a total of 13 pounds so far! I think it's mostly in my stomach, at least I hope. I still haven't bought once piece of maternity clothing. I received a shirt as a gift, oh and some jeggings from BFFF but I have yet to wear them. I think I need to get with it and buy some pants or something because I wear the same $4.50 Forever 21 leggings everytime I go out. :) I bought some tights the other day and had to cut the tops off because it hugged my belly too tight. I didn't want to buy maternity tights. Haha.

This baby is so funny. She goes nuts and kicks me a lot when I haven't eaten in awhile. It's like she's either reminding me or telling me she's hungry! Pretty bossy already. I really love feeling her kicks though. Did I mention that's my favorite part so far??

SIL is coming into town today for a few weeks. I'm excited about that. And I'm definitely excited about my baby shower!!

Ok, going to go eat some more.
Toodles!

Sleeping Arrangements

I have to sleep on my left side. It helps oxygen flow to the belly. Laying on my back cuts the flow. I can't tell you how badly I want to roll over and fall asleep on my stomach. That will probably be one of the first things I do after giving birth. And eat some sushi or a turkey sandwich.

So I bought this thing called the Snoogle and it helps to keep me on my side. It's quite comfortable but I'm still getting used to laying my head on it because I like a flatter pillow. Mr. Ho doesn't like it because it's a barrier between the two of us.

Check it.

All Smiles Still

Everything is going really well still. My belly seems to get bigger everyday. And Olivia is getting stronger everyday. I love every punch, flutter, kick, roll that she does. I think it's my absolute favorite part of being pregnant! While it tells me that she is doing just fine in my belly, it also tells me that she's a feisty one.

I went to the bookstore to buy her "Olivia." I really intended to buy just one book. I left with 11!

There are some classics that you can't deprive your child of. And I got the "My Daddy and I" one because I literally started crying while reading it in the store, because I was imagining Mr. Ho reading it to her. So then I got the "My Mommy and I" because I didn't want to feel left out. HAHA. And the "Story of Jesus" was on sale! Score! It's every Jesus story in one. I guess I could've just gotten the Bible. Whatever.

Tomorrow I get my H1N1 shot. I know there is a lot of controversy over this thing but I really do believe it is a lot of hype and media overkill. Vaccine technology has been around for years. H1N1 kills healthy people. I'd rather be vaccinated than risk being hospitalized. And I'd rather be assured I'm protected rather than being paranoid everywhere I go. I'm content with my decision but nervous still. Say a little prayer for me and lil' Olivia <3>

Can't Stop Smiling

We had the ultrasound today. I've kinda been a nervous wreck about it for the past couple of days. You just NEVER KNOW. You know? But I've been praying and trusting God, and I think that helped completely.

It was just astounding to see that baby with a spine, two legs, two arms, toes, fingers, a brain. To see the heart pumping and the blood rushing through. To see the arms around the face. To see the arms behind the head, straight chillen.

And to think that it's a GIRL!!! I am so unbelievably excited. I was convincing myself that it was going to be a boy, just because I didn't want to get my hopes up too much. Of course, if it were a boy, I would be beyond thrilled as well. But there's something about a daughter... Maybe my subconscious knew, because I could not come up with one boy name that really made any sense to me. And I had a dream last night that (don't laugh) I ran into an America's Next Top Model audition and I asked "Miss Tyra" (yes, I called her that) if I could audition even though they were ending. She granted permission as long as I could go get my lingerie for the photo shoot. So I ran around the lingerie department picking up only pink pieces. And I remember thinking in the dream, why am I picking pink when I don't even like the color on me? And voila. I'm having a girl. LOL. Me and my dreams.

*sigh*

I am off the charts happy right now. And I'm so excited for Mr. Ho. She is going to be the whole world for her. I can already see it now!

I can't wait to meet Olivia <3

Baby Update

Just a quick update for those I don't talk to too often... The pregnancy is going well. I am approaching my 19th week this Friday, which means the halfway mark will be next week! Very exciting. I am definitely showing a bit through my clothes now - well, if I'm wearing something that is form-fitting. I thought I'd have a belly so much sooner but I'm sure I'll look back and think - remember the days when I was pregnant but didn't look it? I miss that. Haha. My belly is growing because I am consistently hungry. I can't even explain it.

The most exciting news is that I can feel the baby. It is this really insane fluttering movement that was very subtle at first. I thought I had gas. But it has progressively gotten stronger and stronger. The baby is very active when I'm lounging on the couch or laying down on my side. Mr. Ho was actually able to feel two little kicks last Sunday. I was so happy that he got to experience the feeling with me. It's nice to know that he/she is getting stronger by the day. Last night, I was eating strawberry popsicles and the baby was going crazy! I'm going to guess that he/she really enjoyed the taste :) Also, I was playing some Britney Spears last weekend, and the baby also loved that, too. Hahaha.

We have a major ultrasound appointment next Monday. It lasts about an hour. I'm so happy that I get to stare at the baby for a straight hour. But being the perpetual worrier that I am, I'm definitely nervous because they are taking the time to see if there are any problems... :( Send us some good vibes, people. Oh, if the baby is cooperating, we'll also be able to tell if it's a girl or a boy!!

Time to make dinner ...

Morning

Good morning, friends!
It's 7:52 AM and I am downstairs eating. You know I am NEVER up and about this early, but I think there is a change a-coming. I think I am now officially ruled by my stomach. I woke up to the smell of Mr. Ho cooking something delicious. Apparently, he had a dream of making me a potato omelet. And his dream was accurate, because I got myself out of bed in the cold to eat.

My appetite has increased a lot, which is great.

Back to eating. Happy Monday!
