Is it just me, or is it so cute when babies curse? I think she was trying to say duck.

Love Thy Neighbor

Pretty sure one of our neighbors is crazy. Case in point:

1. On random nights, you'll see her lights flicker on and off repeatedly. OCD, maybe. Crazy, probably.

2. Mr. Ho has talked to her a few times. He even gave her his email because she lost her job. Last weekend, after we took Rocky out, we saw her come running to our back door. We aren't proud of this, but we all hid. From where Mr. Ho was hiding, he could see her at the door. The woman did not knock. But she did try to turn the knob and come inside! Whaaa?

3. I was watching my Housewives around 11 PM two nights ago. I have awesome hearing and could hear someone wailing. I figured it was crazy neighbor. So I turned off the lights to look outside. And there she was, kneeling in front of her wide-open window, praying loudly and so fast it almost sounded like she was speaking in tongues. And crying and sobbing. Who screams their prayers like that in front of an open window? Seemed intentional?

Scary.

I finally finished The Help. I bought it so long ago and I finally got around to it on Friday. Thoroughly enjoyed every word. So many good parts. One minor detail that really stuck with me was when Aibeleen compared prayer to electricity - it just keeps things going, she says.

I so believe that. Even if nothing happens, it's nice to just pray to someone who you know is listening. And that your prayer could be the spark for change.

I need to find a church. Stat.
