Future Baby
I'd just like to put it out there that I'd I had a boy for baby #2, I'd be ecstatic! One of each blah blah blah.
But I secretly want another girl! I've always been envious of sisters.

Sniff
I have the nose of a bloodhound and the ears of a ... I don't know what animal has great ears but my hearing is exceptional.
I really think it's to make up for my poor eyesight. My other senses had to compensate!

Weekend Bullets
Friday
- Penne Rose and giant rice krispy treat for dinner.
- Finally watched Bridesmaids! It was really good! I was expecting it to be off the charts hilarious, and it was at times, but I think I laughed more during The Hangover.
Saturday
- Mr. Ho actually didn't play football in the morning.
- MIL and FIL came by in the morning and I ran to Wegmans.
- I bummed around the house while Mr. Ho took Rocky to the park, took him to the groomers, washed his beds at the Laundromat, and shampooed the carpets! He actually said, "why don't you drop off Olivia at my parent's and go get a mani/pedi!" What the What? Was it opposite day?
- So I went to Luxxe Nail and Spa in Vienna. I found it on Yelp and it was pretty good! The place has only been open for a year. No chemically smells and the lady did a great job shaping my nails.
- We were contemplating whether or not to go out to dinner, but FIL wanted to come over with sushi and his new fondue kit! So yummy.
- My brother, fiance, and two friends went to the Renaissance Festival. His fiance wanted a cup of Mr. Ho's coffee so they all swung by. It was a great time!!
Today
- What a lazy day! I took two naps.
- Mr. Ho took Olive to Trader Joe's.
- Watched football. Well, I watched Mr. Ho watch football.
- MIL and FIL stopped by.
- Brother and Fiance stopped by.
- Mr. Ho and I took Olive and Rocky on a walk.
- And now I'm watching Amazing Race!
Good low-key weekend!

Crazy
I want a pair of crazy-print pants. Like... borderline ugly print. I don't know why.
But I am also thinking of going on a no-buy till Christmas. I have to give this more thought. I don't really NEED anything right now. Let me sleep on this.

Forgot to Mention
I never got anything from the Missoni collection. I really wanted the espresso set and that was sold out quickly. I did have the chance to buy some stuff online but I didn't act fast enough. Oh well.
I did, however, buy some beautiful fabric to make slipcovers for our chairs in the kitchen. I'll post before and after pictures (hopefully, I remember) when it is complete.
Oh! Olive had her 18-month checkup today. She is 60% for height, 80% head circumference and 90% for weight. She had a nuclear meltdown during the examination and the shots. I even changed it up and asked for the korean lady doctor, thinking maybe that would be easier for her than our regular white man doctor. I pretty much took a sweat bath for the anxiety. But I'm glad she is healthy and well <3 Her vocab is growing daily! She now has names for all the grandparents and will repeat easy words. She is at such a fun age. I just die for her. Seriously. D. I. E.
Fever
There are babies all around me!!
Babies being born, babies being conceived, babies on Facebook.
Not going to lie, it gives me baby fever. When I saw SIL's baby, I just about went into a baby-induced freakout. I wanted a baby ASAP. But that feeling has died down somewhat. I'd say on scale from 1-10, my baby fever is at about a 6.
PS. The TJ MAXX on route 7 is bomb.com!
Never Thought I Would
I walked straight into a glass door today. Thinking I was walking outside, not into a door.
Just like the movies, folks!

Ugh
Target's website is down. My dreams are shattered. I just picture the shelves empty like when a natural disaster is in the forecast. Should I try anyway? I'm sure it's going to be a clusterfu*k (one of my favorite words btw) and I can't stand crowds whilst shopping. TBC.

Men
I asked Mr. Ho to take a closer look at my winged eyes and tell me what's different.
His answer?
"Oh. You added chink points."

There Goes My Millions
So SIL had this great idea to create a website where I would post outfit ideas and the audience would choose which one. I had thought further into it, but alas, Glamour magazine beat me to it. Damn it. It's like that other website I mentioned a few years ago? Changing your name after you get married is a BITCH, and I thought someone should create a service/website to make it easier. And some woman did. Damn.
Pretty cool app, though. I may have to download it.

Naked
Finally! I am so behind in it's debut but I finally obtained the cult-status Urban Decay Naked palette. I'm pretty sure you could buy it online, but I really just wanted to catch it in stores. And I did! Today! They have it at the Sephora at Fair Oaks Mall. I'm not very good at eyeshadows, but I hear this is the end-all be-all of colors. I can't wait to try it!
Experimenting

Trying out a winged liquid eyeliner look. Not bad for the first try? I think I can go more dramatic next time, but I was scared to try. I used Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.
I asked Mr. Ho how it looked and he said, "It looks great, honey." Could he given a more generic response? Haha.
No Bueno
Missoni for Target
Debuts tomorrow! SOOO excited. I've always wanted something Missoni. What a nice budget-friendly way to do so! Loving those chevron stripes.

Another Weekend Past
We had a fab weekend over here at the Ho House. Saturday, I hosted book club and the ladies did not disappoint! Well, I was the only one who read the book in it's entirety. Two ladies read half. But either way, the food was delicious and the non-book discussion was fun and most enjoyable! A couple of them helped me accessorize an outfit for the wedding after party we were supposed to attend that evening, but we actually did not go.
Today, Mr. Ho and I were so happy to have our old roommates to the house! The brought over yummy food (THANK YOU!!) from Myung-Ga and Olivia did her best to entertain them. She really warmed up to Mr. and Mrs. OGDM. And I think she's getting there with DHuang!
It really makes me happy when I see my friends interact with Olivia. They are all so good with her. And they are all attentive and so caring. I know she will always have a great support system outside of the family.
Love, love my friends. When you are younger, you want as many friends as possible - the cooler the better. How naive and stupid. I wouldn't trade my circle of friends for anything. They are my sounding board/my forum. Each of them are blessed with irreplaceable gifts. I really cherish their individualities and I hope I enrich their lives as much as they do mine!
Ok, that's the end of my Golden Girls moment.
Early to bed tonight.

Friday
I am so tired for a Friday night. Perhaps it was due to Olivia's freak wake-up at midnight last night. She gave a startling cry. I went in there. She cuddled up to me on the recliner but would not close her eyes. I tried leaving her in her crib. No. I tried shushing and patting. No. I tried commanding her to sleep - "Just SLEEP. Why won't you sleep?" No. Three hours later, I finally just sang to her. I normally sing to her before bed but I didn't do it this time in my delirium. I felt dumb.
Today was a good day. The skies cleared and the sun came out! We went over to my friend's house. She organized a quick play date. It was Olivia and 3 other boys. It took her about an hour to warm up. My friend's son tried to eat her cheddar bunnies and she was NOT having that. She kept pushing him away and screaming. It was slightly embarrassing? I'm not sure if it's a boy thing, but they were just roaming around, having a good time. And Olivia is sitting on my lap, observing. And giving people "the face." Oh, you'll know it if you see it. But after a bit, she started to explore and play, too. Whew. My friend invited her neighbor over. She has a 14-month old. Just moved here from Korea. She said she had no friends or family. I felt so bad for her! So I gave her my digits. Perhaps a lunch or something will be in order. She reminds me of my SIL, all the way in the land down under... So I want to show kindness to the new girl, like I hope someone would show kindness to SIL.
Speaking of SILs, my future SIL is officially moved into my brother's condo. She seriously whipped up that apartment into shape! The last time I went over there, I saw a thick layer of dust on his nightstand. And there was just a general sense of bachelor ickiness. Now, there are candles burning, pictures on walls, organization and cleanliness. I'm looking forward to having another friend in the area. She is a young lass, but she does have a good heart.
Olivia is so cute these days. I really love this age. She can do our own version of sign language. She understands 99% of what I say in korean. She loves to dance. She has specific "moves." I especially love tippy toe ballerina. And when she just gets dizz-own with knee bends and hand flaps. And she does these animal noises/gestures. She's got dog, elephant, tiger, sheep, duck, gorilla down pat!
A fun weekend is in store. Manana: book club, and a wedding after-party. Sunday: a mini-3812 reunion.
Good night!

Wtf rain.
I feel achy. Not sure if it's the rain or getting sick. I have to run errands in this shit weather.
Not the best day. I guess I should think of something good (re: last entry). And that would be trash tv. What a good distraction.
Even my eyeballs feel achy.

Quote
Not much of a quote person, but i really like this...
Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day!
Go ahead, I bet you can name at least 5! Even one thing is something to be grateful for.

Turn that Frown Upside Down
Hi Friends.
My mom left today :( And the weather is pretty shitty. The silver lining? Zara now has online shopping!!
Oh, and Olive is much better at Little Gym. She doesn't really love all the activities but she's a little more social and doesn't cry. Yay! Baby steps!
Write more later.
