Last night, I was playing on my iPhone in the dark while Mr. Ho was fast asleep. And all of a sudden I see this bug run across the screen. WTH. It was so scary. I have no idea where it came from since I was holding the phone in my hands and turned to the side. Then, I couldn't sleep because I felt like there were bugs everywhere. Ugh.

I'm eating FROOT Loops RIGHT NOW! Yummmyyyy. I thought it was spelled Fruit Loops but apparently those marketing guys over at Kellogg's are witty.

Pregnancy Old Wives Tales

Here are a few that I found interesting and next to it is what I've experienced thus far.

-You need calcium if you crave ice cream - I crave ice cream all the time

-Cold feet indicate a boy - I always have cold feet

-A lot of heartburn means your baby will be born with a full head of hair - No heartburn yet, knock on wood

-Refusing to eat the ends on a loaf of bread means you're going to have a girl - I just devoured the ends of a loaf the other day

-The baby will be born with a hairy birthmark if you see a mouse while you're pregnant - No mice

-If you sweat a lot, it's a girl - Definite increase in the sweat

-Eating berries causes red splotches on your baby's skin - Been eating strawberries

-Craving orange juice means it's a girl - No cravings

-Dry hands means it's a boy - Supple hands

-Craving greasy foods means your labor will be short - Definitely not craving greasy

-Your baby will be cross-eyed if you wear high heels - Wore them once or twice so far

Today I crave Fruit Loops. I know, wtf. I never ate them when I wasn't pregnant. Hmm... And maybe some Chapaghetti - not the real deal jja-jjang-myun. But that awesome fake stuff.

Friday Fun Day

Hi friends.

I woke up pretty late this morning. I dreamt I was friends with the Kardashians. LOL. It was a really great dream and not ashamed that I slept in to make the dream last longer.

I bought Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill cd on iTunes the other day. I can't believe I did that either. It just totally brings me back to like freshmen year of high school. The more I listen to it, it sounds really whiny... Buyer's remorse.

Lifetime has been playing old episodes of Grey's Anatomy. I saw season 1 but not the bomb season. Are the Denny Duquette episodes in the same season? I can't wait to get to those. And YAYYY for the return of fall tv!

Man, pregnancy is so random. Makes you do weird things. Like puke in the parking lot right after eating dinner. That was pleasant. I really want an ice coffee. And if you know me, you know I don't drink coffee because I can't handle the caffeine. But it's because I can't drink it, I just want it! Yesterday, mom, brother and Mr. Ho all had these gorgeous sushi platters. I just had to eat my tempura udon. I was so tempted so I literally had Mr. Ho hold up a piece of salmon to my nose so I could at least smell it! Hahaha. Mom and I went shopping yesterday and I just don't even know what to buy. I don't know what's going to fit in a month or two. My eyes just went toward all the skin-tight skinny jeans and the cute strapless dresses. *sigh* My pants DEFINITELY don't button at this point. I'm not really showing through my clothes unless I eat a big meal (rare). I'm pretty much 4 months now so I'm thinking the tummy will be kicking in pretty soon. I'm excited!

Excited

I took my mom to the korean bookstore today. She bought all four books from the Twilight series, The Shack, The Kite Runner, and the first book of the Shopaholic series. I'm so excited for her!

Follow-Up

I bought the Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaner thing. The contraption is a pretty awesome. My only one complaint is that the smell is really strong for my current bionic nose.

My mother is here. Right now she is cleaning the shit out of my kitchen sink. I thought it was clean but apparently fails her inspection.

And yes, Kanye is a douche. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop listening to his music.

Old

You know you're getting old when you get really excited during a commercial for a new cleaning product. What has tickled my fancy?

It's the new Scrubbing Bubbles Toliet Cleaning Gel. I just really love the stamping concept and how it goes away when it's done! I am so getting this the next time I'm in the store.

I also know I am aging because McD's has gotten rid of one of my childhood staples - the strawberry sundae. I've been craving it like crazy and now it's nowhere to be found.

I am really excited about cooler weather. I am loving my new Love Quotes scarf and plan to get more in many colors :)

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

I can't believe it's already September. Where did August go? Oh, I'll tell you. August was spent on the couch. Or in my bed. Mostly, it was spent horizontally. Or bent over the toilet. August was a definite blur. Hopefully, September will go a lot better.

I am jamming to Jay-Z's Blueprint 3. AH. I LOVEEEEE him. I think I'll be throwing up the ROC sign till I'm old and gray.

Yesterday was MONUMENTAL. Baby V let me hold her. It was voluntary. She was totally talking to me in her o-so-cute baby jibberish. Actually cracking me some smiles and loving me! I hope it's a repeat performance!

And a BIGGGGG CONGRATULATIONS to DHuang for landing a job after graduation! I can't believe you are already graduating this year. I feel like it was just yesterday that I saw you pack up your car and zoom off to St. Louis.... My, how quickly they grow up.

Today's craving: A McDonald's sundae but with strawberry sauce. YUMMMMM!

Good Moods/Bad Moods

Today, I am in such GREAT spirits! Must be the weather. I am MADE to THRIVEEE in this kind of weather. Cali weather, I guess. BFFF and I are still conspiring on the move to the west coast. We both tried to win the MegaMillions but that didn't happen. We'll have to try something else. Too bad there are some raging fires going on right now. Not to mention a piss-poor job market. I am happy to be happy today. And yes, I meant to say happy twice. I've had a really bad couple of days.

So I just finished re-reading the Harry Potter series. Don't laugh at me. It was awesome. I totally forgot what happened in the last book and it was like reading it for the first time! Right now, I'm finally reading Water for Elephants, which I bought for Hong Kong and never got around to. I'm only on chapter 3 but it's really good so far. I was skeptical about reading about a circus, but I like it so far.

Yesterday, I'm laying on my couch watching some television when I hear some rustling outside. I thought it was some of our lawnmower people. But I peep outside and see my mother-in-law pulling weeds in our backyard! I just wanted to die. Our yard is a serious jungle right now. Disgusting, actually. And here she is, pulling all the weeds. Then she swept our garage. OMG. So awful. I'm thankful to have such a kind mother-in-law but, still.... Embarrassing!

I just tore up 2 croissants in a matter of minutes. If I had a 3rd, I'd eat it too...
