Crazy

For all those who said she would sleep so well last night because of all the running around she did at the BBQ, you were oh so wrong!

She woke up at 1045 PM and cried for an hour. Mr. Ho tried to sneak in there after I told him not to and she was PISSED because she wants only me. I was at such a loss. Eventually, I just slept on the floor next to her crib and every time she woke, I held her hand between the crib slats. I dont know what to do anymore!!!

So yeah, we had a BBQ yesterday, it was great to have the family over here.

It's also Mr. Ho's birthday weekend! Hope everyone enjoys their long weekend.

Good Morning

She started crying at 4 am. I went in there twice to check in on her to make sure she wasn't stuck or pooped. She never went back to sleep so off to the grocery store we went at 630 AM. I'm solely running on caffeine today. I
Realized I haven't slept more than 4 hours in a row since APRIL.

Here she is, happy as a clam. Chowing down on a breakfast sandwich at Wegmans.

Classical music soothes my soul and gets my brain going. Sounds pretentious, but I love it. I'm no expert, couldn't tell you composer names and song titles, but I'll definitely listen to it at random.

Why Me No Blog

I haven't been as obsessed with blogging lately because I'm dragging.  Little Miss O. has decided that sleep is for suckers.  She wakes every three hours, crying for her momma.  I try to ignore it and then I hear this sad little, "Umma, I stuck."  Girl has stuck her chubby knees in the crib slats AGAIN so I will come get her out.  Deliberate, I tell you.

I am never going on vacation EVER AGAIN.

B graduated from med school today! So exciting! Of course, Mrs. Park threw a great party at Charlie Palmer in DC.

The invites were prescription pill bottles with Mike&Ikes. She made the cake pops, which were delicious. And goodie bags were first aid kits.

In the words of Mr. Ho, she's good.

You know who wasn't good? Olivia. She def was not on her best behavior.

Anyway, congrats again to the newly minted Dr. Park!

Things have been uneventful here. My body is still adjusting to the time but I think it's back to normal now.

My little O has been quite moody since we have been back. I think she is still having a bit of jet lag and sleep issues. She woke up this morning with a runny congested nose so this is just going to delay the whole process of getting back to the routine. I'm thinking of Ferberizing her after the nose is healed.

Did you catch the series finale of Desperate Housewives? It was good! I enjoyed the closure it provided. I shed a tear when Tom and Lynette got back together. And her matron of honor speech rang true to me. It's so easy to fall into a routine in marriage. You forget the sparks and the excitement of the honeymoon phase so quickly. You get wrapped up in life and forget that you married because you finally found love.

Anyway.

I was a little eh about the scene with all the dead people in white watching Susan drive away. It was kind of creepy.

And those bridesmaid dresses were so pretty!

My friend sent me a mothers day card! I was so touched by her thoughtfulness!

Ant City

So that homemade any trap? A SUCCESS! There were about 75 ants crawling from that trap, up and down the wall for a few hours. Eating the poison and bringing it back to their nest. The next morning, not one single ant.

It's almost 3 am. I'm sitting in Os room holding her in the rocker. She keeps waking bc I think she's scared. She's been sleeping either at arms length or with me in bed for 10 days so I'm guessing she's afraid. She always wants to hold my hand or touch my face as she sleeps. It's sweet but I'm going to need a big coffee tomorrow.
